The work is hanged in a way to show the slit in the cyanotype paper. This slits allows to slide the paper underneath the flowers, on location.

The cyanotype papers were first cut. Then, they were placed directly underneath the flowers. No flowers were cut in the making of this work.
The next day, the whole field of Daucus Carota was cut down.
