Revolutions Start at Home
Using a daily gesture to create inner change, day to day.
Action + Food hacking
The action was made during the Atina 2014 Residency in Italy.
The evolution for this work: create stamps and “hack” eggs in supermarkets or partner with an egg distributor.
El arbol della Repubblica (After Penone)
Paper pulp made from a newspaper (La Repubblica) returned to its source, the tree.
This work was made during a residency in Atina, Italy, in 2014.
Atina Cyanotype Series
I am exploring here another camera-less photography technique: cyanotypes. I decided to map the field behind our temporary home.
The process involved going out at noon and exposing the paper to the sun. The flowers are carefully inserted through a cut in the paper; they are not cut or brought to the studio.
The next day, to my surprise, the very large field was completely emptied, all the flowers were cut in order to build a new house.
The flowers are “Queen Anne’s Lace”, a very common flower in Europe and North America. This follows my interest of bringing attention to the overlooked, to find balance and connection with life through its most simple moments and objects.
