The installation is an exploration of how materials, shapes, light and mise en scène can suggest meditative states. Can we renew the aesthetic cliches associated with spiritual experiences?

Inner Chamber is like being inside an analog camera: the image on the wall is created by the light bouncing on reflective objects. The image is immaterial; it doesn’t existe outside of the reflexion phenomenon.

Left: A large moving image is created by words projected on a collection of reflective objects.
Right: Partial view of a projection of words fragmented by objects.

This mixed media installation was created during an art residency at Daïmon media art center in Gatineau, Canada, 2019. Special thanks to Martine Crispo and Michael Caffrey.
